Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Nourished (“we”, “us”) handles information when you join our waitlist at nourished.fit and, in the future, when you use the Nourished mobile app. We keep data collection to what we genuinely need.

Information we collect

Right now (the waitlist)

• Email address:so we can tell you when Nourished launches.
• Signup source:which page or button you used, to understand what resonates. No tracking pixels, no advertising cookies.

Later (the app)

When the app launches, and only with your participation, it will process:

• Account details:e.g. email or a sign-in provider identifier.
• Journal data you create:meals, food line-items, mood entries, and movement you log.
• Optional health integrations:data from Apple Health or Google Fit, only if you connect them.
• Photos you choose to scan, processed to estimate food and portions.

How we use it

• To contact waitlist members about early access and launch.
• To provide the journaling, estimation, and insight features of the app.
• To improve accuracy, for example by learning from corrections you make.
• To keep the service secure and operational.

What we don’t do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not show ads.
• We do not share your journal data with third parties for their own marketing.

Where your data is stored

Your account and journal data are hosted on infrastructure located in India (Mumbai region). We aim to handle personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including processing it for the purposes described here, keeping it secure, and honouring your requests to access or delete it. If we ever transfer data outside India (for example, an AI model provider), we’ll do so only as needed to deliver the service and with appropriate safeguards.

Service providers

We use trusted infrastructure providers to operate the service, including Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in India) and Cloudflare (hosting and security). AI processing of photos and text happens through model providers, called only from our secure backend; our API keys are never embedded in the app. These providers process data on our behalf under their respective agreements.

Data retention

We keep waitlist emails until launch and for a reasonable period after, or until you ask us to remove you. App data is retained for as long as your account is active. You’ll be able to export or delete your data from within the app.

Your choices & rights

• Unsubscribe from waitlist emails at any time via the link in any email.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing us at the address below. Where the DPDP Act applies, you may also withdraw consent and nominate a contact to exercise your rights.

Children

Nourished is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We’ll update this policy as the product takes shape and post the revised date at the top. Material changes will be communicated to waitlist members.
