Delete your account

Deleting your Nourished account permanently removes your account and everything associated with it: your journal (meals, moods, movement, notes), photos, insights, preferences, and profile. This cannot be undone.

The fastest way: in the app

  1. Open Nourished and go to You → Settings.
  2. Tap Delete my account (shown as Delete my data if you haven’t created an account).
  3. Confirm by typing DELETE. Your account and all data are erased immediately, and you are signed out.

Delete some data without deleting your account

You do not have to delete your Nourished account to remove data. Every journal entry is yours to delete individually, at any time:

  • In the app, open any entry on your journal (a meal, mood, note, weigh-in, or activity) and delete it. Removal is immediate and permanent, and your daily totals update at once.
  • For anything broader, such as a date range or a whole category of entries, email [email protected] from the address linked to your account describing what to remove. We verify the request against that address and complete it within 30 days.

The same retention rules below apply to individually deleted entries: gone from your journal immediately, with photo copies ageing out of encrypted backups within 30 days.

Without the app: request by email

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my account” from the email address linked to your account. We verify the request against that address and complete the deletion within 30 days, with a confirmation reply when it is done.

What is deleted, and when

  • Deleted immediately: your account, journal entries, mood and movement logs, notes, learned food memory, preferences, subscription record, and profile.
  • Deleted within 30 days: meal photos (removed from active storage at deletion; residual copies age out of encrypted backups automatically), and any data in our email-support threads if you ask us to remove those too.
  • Not retained: we keep no marketing profiles and run no ads. Anonymous, aggregated analytics that never identified you cannot be traced back and are not affected.
